About

Who we are and the goals of the Norwegian VFX Association!
The association is for those who work with, or study VFX-related things in Norway.

The Norwegian VFX association aims to be a tool for the VFX industry of Norway. A driving force for all involved in VFX productions within film and tv. We push to make our field of work more accessible through this website, and to strengthen the industry as a whole. We want to show that the VFX industry in Norway, and its patrons, stands strong and to showcase those who make an effort!

The association shall function as:

  • A social meeting place for its members.
  • A platform for organizing professional lectures, festivals, and conferences.
  • A platform for organizing a serious Norwegian VFX award.
  • A resource for institutions that need statements regarding VFX.
  • A resource for the continued training of the Norwegian film industry.

The association’s goals are:

  • To create a social space across studios and professions for those involved in VFX in Norway, in one way or another.
  • To make it easier for people in the industry to get to know and connect with one another.
  • To continually raise the quality of Norwegian VFX work.
  • To inform typical clients of VFX providers on how to approach VFX and what they can expect, in order to make the collaboration between providers and clients more effective.
  • To enhance the quality of awards given in VFX categories in Norway.
  • To serve as an informative PR organization for the rest of Norway regarding Norwegian VFX.
